Sunshine Challenge 2021 1:1 Hades.

As I mentioned in my recent posts on my "School Timetable Experiment", I intend to take part in the Sunshine Challenge again this year.
Now, the first thing I thought was that I'd draw, but... the first image for the challange is taking longer than I wanted, and then I had an idea. One that will help me get more immersion in korean.
So I'm basically doing the challange twice.
One will be a fitting translation of a korean version of a song I like, even if the korean version isn't the original/my favourite. My translations are NOT going to be the highest quality, I'm going to be using dictionaries a LOT during this and missing subtleties, grammar things and idioms left and right.
And the second will be a fitting art.
And now for my first filling in of Hades
"Prompt 1: Hades
Hades is the god of the dead and the king of the Underworld with which his name became synonymous. Despite modern connotations of death as evil, Hades was actually more altruistically inclined in mythology; his role was often maintaining relative balance between the realms. He was often depicted as cold and stern in his judgement, and he held all of his subjects equally accountable to his laws. Above all else, Hades ensured the finality of death and that none of his subjects ever left the Underworld."
The song I have chosen is "Hated By Life Itself" by Kanzaki Iori.
Listen to my favourite version (in the original Japanese) with english subtitles here (suicide cw, also the singer of this cover has an official video but I don't like the translation of it as much). I do recommend watching this version first to see it unbutchered by me.
While looking for versions of this song to translate, I found that all the korean covers I found had different lyrics, and in the end I went for This one because I liked this version and one of the commenters had actually posted the lyrics.
Translation: (suicide tw, like the original)
"You don't want to disappear
or give up on living."
Claiming songs with such lyrics are correct.
Is absolutely ridiculous.
In the end it's to easy to want to die
But it's sad when someone dies
And I too often hear people saying
that it is selfish.
Even I can get concerned for others but
even hated actions can be justified but
still living peacefully really is
a good thing.
One the other side of the screen someone dies
And one who watched mourns
And one boy who watched, impressed,
Runs off with a knife
We are hated by life.
Suffering the neglect of our values and ego.
Sometimes screaming songs about wanting death
And just told to shut up
We are hated by life.
So we casually want to die
Looking at life casually
We are hated by life.
Today my wallet is empty again
So once more I'm idle all day
Unable to find any meaning to life
I heave another sigh that says
"I'm lonely"
Do the wounds in my heart look okay to you?
When I keep all my worries inside.
I'm anxious about this bitter world every day.
All of us who were once youths
grew up to become strange adults
Years come and gone like broken dead leaves
No idea when they'd finally rot away
Becoming immortal
Living a life where no one dies
Those things only exist in stories
If I vanish it wouldn't matter but
the people near me wish to be happy
when they bow down just to make a living
and I can't understand this
"Those who want the right things are correct
One day we will live forever."
If you believe in such impossible things
You'll lose your mind laughing.
We are hated by life.
Even being happy is meaningless
When our circumstances all lead to regret
And we pause only to curse our pasts
We are hated by life itself.
Our farewells worn out by doubts
about what they really mean.
We are hated by life itself.
Happiness, Goodbyes, Love, Friendship...
are like jokes our dreams played on us
everyone spends money on
Everything might disappear tomorrow
We don't know if our wants might be put down
Mornings, Nights, Springs and Autumns
In the end we die out of nowhere
I don't have any use for dreams or tomorrow
If you live that's good enough
Ah, right... in fact...
That's what I want to sing about
Hated by life itself...
In the end we die some day
you do
and I do.
Like falling leaves twist and rot away
Therefore we live in this way
Risking our lives to hold each other and live more
Vanishing, Surviving, Cheering, Loving
Living on living on living on
Please Live
