When I started this, I worked four to six hours a week, spread over two days. It was winter, and I didn't have much to do as a gardener.
Now I've taken on more jobs, and it looks like I might take on even more, and I work up to six days a week, and it's been getting harder and harder to get through those Anki sessions. I haven't been watching anime at all.
At first, it was a great way to set goals, and it was pleasing to get through it and then find that I had plenty time to do other stuff. The stuff I'd learned was interesting.

And now I think I will rest from it. Many, many months later than I expected do.

I do plan to keep stuff up, just... a more casual pace.

And maybe finally I can watch Steven Universe.

I was right in saying I wouldn't get much done. Between fatigue from the vaccination, needing to drive around a cat, and work, I didn't have time.

Anyway, this week I reccomend the completed Podcast The Message.. Note that this podcast is called "life after" in the title, that's the sequel to "The Message", but while I liked The Message a lot, I found Life After... tedious.

A warning: The Message contains some elements of "The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You" early on in the story.

Well, this week's PLANNED classes were Anki, Art, Immersion, Reading and Gardening. Of those three, I didn't get up to any Immersion or Gardening. That's because the weather allowed me to work more than I thought I would and then I took a sick day. Next week I get my second dose of my Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday, so I am going to assume that I'm going to be fucked up for the second half of the week. I have a friend who had her second dose last wednesday, and she was really hit bad.

This Week's Reccomendation is Ghost Stories of Canada, which is exactly what it says on the tin. A podcast where each episode has several ghost stories from different parts of Canada. The series is complete, with 13 episodes.

This week was disorganised, with art, reading a texbook and anki being the most stable, and the other two slots being misc. including shopping, taxes, calling the bank and... sleep. On friday, I decided to add korean immersion back into the mix, with me starting up a game of Stardew Valley in Korean. I am not ready.

I had more time to work on classes because it was raining, but it didn't cool down much.

I'll try to be more organised next week.

This week's thing I listen to is: Creepypastas Read by The Dark Somnium. And a bonus, I've really been enjoying Ghost Stories of Canada but it's only got 13 episodes.

So this week the classes that I did do included: Taxes, art, Anki. I started a new job doing drystone walling, so my week is now VERY PACKED. But I certainly have done a LOT more studying than I would have if it wasn't for new year's resolution.

And I had the thought that maybe the reason that I haven't fallen to the usual thing of giving up on your new year's resolution is that, even when I failed at it, I just picked it right back up the next week or after a rest. Since it's not a resolution that has a specific end goal, more a "spend more time on these activities", perhaps that also helps. I don't get to a point where I realise that my end goal is unobtainable in the time I set, there IS no end goal.

Also I realised I'd forgotten to provide the things I've been listening to so, uh... Have a bunch of Blaseball Music. A good chunk of the early stuff is free, and there's a bundle of all the music so far (40 albums, but including the free ones) 55% off! There some real great music in here, such as (Don't) Stay Null,Fight Gods (Ska Version> and The Tug. There's even an album of
Blaseball Themed Sea Shanties
.

I have a LOT of music I listen too, enough that it takes my music player a few minutes to load it all, but The Garages' music is on my mind because I bought the entire discography on friday and I still haven't listened to it all.

With me having finished the Sunshine Challenge for this year, I found myself with a little time to make a quick art, and I returned to a classic for this year: Blaseball Fanart.
And just in time for... the end of the current era of Blaseball, and as far as I know, no date of return.
It was my birthday yesterday. Blaseball ended on my birthday. My team went into a black hole.
I also did Anki, and things will be returning to normal for next month. I haven't signed up for any challenges.
Doing the translations for Sunshine challenge was... helpful, and difficult.

More translation, more Anki. I only did a little art. I also worked a lot, and my car's back!

This week I realised I wasn't going to get my art for the Sunshine Challenge done fast enough for me, so I incorporated my korean studies into it! I'm amateurishly translating korean songs and korean versions of songs into english and you can see the ones I've done here.
I also did art and Anki. I still don't have my car back.

Life happened a lot but I still got drawing and korean study done. Not as much as intended, but a lot.
I spent more and less time at work than expected, due in part to my car being repaired so I can't actually drive to work and having to walk to work again, which means I spend more time actually on the move but less time getting paid.
And I won't get my car back until next thursday. :/

This week was better, but with all my work and things such as trying to get my car booked into the garage for fixing, and needing to rest when I could because it's been getting hot here, I found it really difficult to do my classes. As such, I wound up only doing Art, Anki and Gardening.

Well, I was very right. I got my vaccination and it really, really did make me tired. Though I had two nights of insomnia so THAT didn't help.
Art, Immersion, Anki... I was working on the days before my vaccination so I just didn't have spoons.
And even now I feel very, very tired.

Now for another thing I listen to while working: The Iilluminaughtii, who makes videos and podasts at a frankly frightening pace (Blare, Please Don't Burn Out) about the awful things businesses do and historical tragedies.

Writing this as the Blaseball Season 20 election results come in. I am trying not to look at them before getting done, I hope my team gets a blessing for once. (And then due to outside circumstances I DID look before finishing it. We did get a blessing, but due to a wills wimdy and shenanigans it's useless to us. I actually kinda love this. Pase lo que pase.)

It's a long one, but there's a new feature in here. )

Another week in which migraines was an issue for me, but I still got a decent amount done. This week was Anki, Art, Gardening, Lingodeer and Music. I've been working on something special in the art :3.

I've been using This K Pop Livestream for background immersion, but the music is in english sometimes. There's a song in there that has the words "All my friends are dead" over and over.

The name of this stream translates to "Hipster Shrine".

And thanks to this I've had vauge k-pop like noises stuck in my head rather than having an actual single song in there. It's a new experience.

The year is half gone and I am still going. Even though the weather got suddenly very boiling.
This week I changed things up!
Anki and art as Usual, but the others were Korean immersion, Music and Gardening.
I finished working on a track I've been working on a while and am now working on art for posting it to youtube. For Immersion, I am watching a K Drama... not something I usually do.
The Kdrama I'm watching is "Secret Mother". It's quite Dramatic (heh). Immersion is something I've been lacking, so I'm hoping this will help my brain make things click.

May is ending.
It's warm enough that I have to open a window at almost 10pm. I don't know where the heat is coming from.
And this week I got more work. I missed two days between work and... surviving my mum's birthday.
My classes were Anki, Lingodeer, Art, Writing and Gardening again. Anki very much covers all of them aside from Writing.
The 50 minutes continues to be more manageable.

This week I managed! With some modifications.
See, back in my high school days classes were 53 minutes long, including travelling between them, so we probably actually got like 45minutes of schooling per period.
And I had been doing one hour per "class" and that... built up.
So now I've started going for 50 minutes per "class", and while that's less OVERALL (literally, one hour less because of six hours per day), it's a lot more manageable. And more manageable means I am more likely to actually get it done, rather than burn it out. Though, when it comes to actual WORK I'm keeping it to one hour is equivalent to one "class" because I charge by the hour and I don't want to, like, work 3 hours and then only have 20 minutes of a class. Work is kinda very easy on my brain, so those extra minutes working shouldn't contribute to the mental burnout I've been getting lately.

One thing I didn't mention in my last post was on tumblr, that week, I kept on seeing posts along the lines of "when you are tired, resting is the most productive thing you can do." It seemed like a sign.

Now that I'm very clearly past the point where it's excitement keeping me going, hopefully the reduced time will keep me going. It's already giving me more time to play the games I've been meaning to.
I've also pretty much given up on Duolingo for now. I can focus on what Lingodeer has to teach me. And maybe when I'm done with that I can use another resource.

This week's classes were Art, Writing, Gardening, Lingodeer, Anki. One of the things I did for art was This Fanart of Burke Gonzales as I saw him in a dream..

This week was cancelled because on school days I was either working, sick, or both.
Mostly working and mildly sick.

And it is MAY. Wow. I've been keeping this going.
This week was Duolingo, Anki, Art, Writing and... well a slightly flexible slot that I intended as deep cleaning but wound up also being used for work related matters. Such as getting a new customer sorted and seeing what work I'd have to do for another. The deep cleaning did have an effect, but clearly the 80/20 rule applies. The cleaning I'd done in one hour a while back had way more effect, and more junk to throw out, than the handfull of hours I had done this week.

Having a bit of a hard time getting back into Duolingo. I'd managed to lose my streak of over 600 days. The Writing I did was a bit of my long term project but also Blaseball fanfic. Blaseball's latest siesta is ending on monday, and the most recent season was absolutely BRUTAL for my team, the Mexico City Wild Wings. I was feeling kinda burnt out on the fandom at the end of it, and I wonder... like I have never been in a truely sports related fandom like this and surely IRL sports are less intense and all the time all the time?

For art one of the things I did was this art of my character who is part of the aforementioned long term project. Also my first published art this year that wasn't related to numenera or blaseball! Wow I got it bad.

Late Again!
Like last week, I focused on Lingodeer, Anki, that udemy korean course (which I finished) art and writing. Nothing to post.

Ooops this is late.

Ironically, for someone who said that I can't do three to four hours of korean I wound up alternating lingodeer and korean again and... signing up for an online korean course. I got it free thanks to a post on Reddit.

So this week Anki, Lingodeer and an online korean course, and for art I made this art of my Numenera Character Reidh as a Blaseball Player and did more anatomy learning, and for writing I worked on my script for a webcomic again.
