This week, back on the treadmill! With art, writing, gardening, and Anki. I was trying to focus on catching up on the Anki I was behind on because in that you can really see how far behind you are by seeing how much extra review you have to do.
And for the last two days of the week Anki was the only "Class" I did because I was doing five or more hour workdays at the gardening(as in my job, not the studies, for that I was learning new things) + I had insomnia. So while I am NOT burnt out like I was last week... I would have gone right back to being burnt out if I worked too hard.
I don't think three to four hours of studying korean a "schoolday" is actually all that viable for me so I'm going back to alternating focusing on Duolingo and Lingodeer.

I took a holiday.
I started the week with several migraines in a row.

I am typing this on my phone in my bed after midnight and technically on sunday because I forgot to do a journal. Ooops.

I did well this week, a lot better than last one. Though I've been having a hard time remembering what days were what doubles... partly because I've been working more again so there are more days I don't DO the double. Due to circumstances, I lost two doubles to podcast recording, but it's done. Same classes as last week, for writing I worked on a course I am in, wrote some letters in slowly and did some work on my mausritter setting. For art, more learning anatomy for artists.

Maybe next week I'll get to do creative writing again... and I do plan to do non practice art again next week.

Wow. Quarter way through the year. o_o. I haven't taken any holidays from this, though it was tempting this week. Thursday was the only day I REALLY got things done. I'd been looking up when our school holidays are too, though I might wind up keeping going anyway rather than trying to work out when they are. Seems it's kinda complicated.

Resting IS important. One of the advantages I found early on is that I could reach a point where it felt like I'd done enough for the day, and that I don't have to do more, while still getting a lot more actually DONE than I had last year. It's a bit weird.

Again it was Korean (Anki, Duolingo and Lingodeer), writing and drawing. And... of the latter I have nothing to show for it because the drawing was practicing my anatomy and most of the writing was me preparing for a podcast I am going to be a guest on, and the ep hasn't been recorded yet. I did spend... a good chunk of time focusin on that instead of my other Classes oTL. I did, however, notice that all this time focusing on korean has been making a difference, so yay!

This week I focused on studying anatomy for my art classes, and I did three hours of korean study a day. I did... a piece of Blaseball fanfic for my writing, and then I did Another one yesterday.
I mostly did okay, but... wednesday was the first time I had to entirely miss my "classes" because I woke up exhausted and that was the first symptom of what turned out to be a massive migraine. I could do nothing but... uh... sleep and hang out on my Blaseball team's side discord in the dark.

I really didn't think I'd make it this far, but it's almost halfway through march and I'm still keeping this going.
And I'm starting to worry a bit about NaNoWriMo because I've done that every year but if I am STILL keeping at this then? Wow. Though I have had days where I had to extend a class because I got distracted.

Anyway, this week I made a Tribute to Case Sports for art, and started working on some Blaseball fanfic in writing, did more korean in Anki and Duolingo, and my last slot was for working on my business. Mostly studying gardening.

I'm considering, for next week, devoting three of my five "classes" to korean next week, to add some more immersion aside from studying. Thinking how that would work is that I do both duolingo and lingodeer next week, and watching a kdrama when I have a double for one of those.

Yeah, it won't be korean as it's actually spoken by people, but at least it's exposure and once I get better I can get really into watching korean Lets Plays of games I like (which is already fun but it would be more so if I understood more.

It's been a really tiring week for me. For the first time, I had a major distraction: The Return of Blaseball.
I got into it before the grand siesta last year and I found the community to be great. I met a lot of nice people.

And this season, the first one of the year, was absolutely Brutal for my team.

RIV Case Sports. You will be missed.

Also there's a political situation going on and someone I have to live with rn decided I basically exist to be ranted to about this very situation and guilt tripped if I express how fed up I am with said ranting.

And Wow. Almost a 10th of the way through the year.

This week's studies were Art, Writing, Korean Duolingo, Anki and business. I used one of the writing hours to finish off my D&D character sheet for a homebrew character based on Houseki no Kuni/Land of the Lustrous style gems. I used this week mainly to design characters.

And for the business classes I was studying gardening stuff for my business and working on my driving. Getting used to my car after its second repair.

This week I did Anki, Duolingo, Art and finally got back into the swing of writing the script for my future webcomic. The fifth slot was a bit flexible... I'd used it for general maintenance outside my usual work and working on a character for an upcoming DnD campaign.

Even though I don't "Go to school" on fridays anymore, I spent a lot of yesterday (friday the 26th) working on an art piece I'd been working on in my art classes over the past two weeks. The art was mostly intended as practice in drawing landscapes and testing out the colour pallete technique that shows up around 7:40 in this video.

And I'm quite proud of it. So please look at it here.#

I really need to spend more time on Deviantart.

Changing my "School week" to be from sunday to thursday worked out! This week, art finally returned to the roster and I started work on an image for landscape practice, and I managed to finish both my Lua and 3D art "classes" (the latter being a 'for now', I need to learn a few more things, like how to use Greaspencil). The Lua I finished right at the beginning of the week, and I finished the dice program I was working on for GMing purposes last week . A dice program that seems rather biased towards my players XD. The 3D programming tutorials, I finished them towards the end of the week. So I didn't put something else in the slot.

For the Lua slot, I was planning to use it for writing, but then unexpected life stuff happened that I wound up using the slot for. Maybe next week I'll actually get back into writing... .

This week's "classes" were Anki, Lingodeer, 3D Art, Lua and... Making a Mausritter campaign! I had a lot of migraines this week, but I still trundled on! Even doing most of my classes on days I thought I wouldn't manage.
I am getting closer to finishing one of the 3D Art tutorials I have been following, and I actually was able to use the Lua skills I'd learned this week to make my own digital dice! So I don't have to publicly throw dice when I'm GMing.
And yeah, once again I skipped art.
Sorry I hadn't published my full tutorials yet I... well, migraines. Today is the first day all WEEK I hadn't had any.
Oh, and due to some real life things my "school week" is changing to be from sunday to thursdays. Starting tomorrow.

Wow. Six weeks... (even if the first "week" was one day). Surprised I got this far.
This week was much the same as the last two weeks, but I replaced art with working on the databending tutorial I'd already started publishing parts of. Yeah... I'd thought I wouldn't replace art with anything, but the art I'd finished was FOR that tutorial.

That being said, in my Lua, 3D and Korean "classes" I feel like I hit some milestones over the past week. Learning advanced concepts in Lua I'd never touched before as a self taught programmer, finally working out why my results were so different from the tutorial, and just finding myself insinctively getting some things right in Korean that I hadn't before.

It'll probably be a while before I finish the Lua and 3D "Classes" still, so I won't exactly have the flexibility I'd planned for again yet.

This week was a hard one. For some reason I kept getting migraines, and I wasn't the only person in the area. So it must have been the weather. Because of that, I actually wound up... not completing the classes on certain days. oTL.

But! At least I finished a Blaseball fanart I was working on for the past three weeks! Evolution of Wyatt Mason and NaN (EYESTRAIN, Slow 'Flashing" Gif (it's practically a slideshow). I attempted much the same classes as last week, but replace Duolingo with Lingodeer.
I made a doughnut in Blender!
And now that it's the weekend I actually have some energy... ah well.

I managed again! But I finished one day as late as 10pm. To be fair I really needed that nap and other life stuff happened.

I managed again! Even though this week I was... a bit sick. Had some migraines. Still, I never finished later than 8pm this week, which is an improvement over last week!

Well, I actually managed all the hours, albeit... getting easier and easier to be distracted towards the end of the week.I managed to start my 6 hours of "classes" around 9am each day, but the time I finished got as late as... 9pm!
Still, it was a good start, possibly helped by me not having to go to work this week. Or rather being literally unable to go to work due to the icy conditions and the new lockdown.
More details of what I did under the cut, as well as some philisophical considerations.

So this year I am going to try something possibly a bit odd.
I've heard a lot about how the school system is unmanageable for teens, so I wondered: Could I, an adult, manage it now?
So I decided to do an experiment.
